Старейший и когда-то единственный источник водоснабжения г. Нью-Йорка за его пределами. Проложен от водохранилища Кротон [Croton Lake] на р. Кротон [Croton River]. Построен в 1842. Пропускная способность - 1,136 млн. литров в сутки. Практически полностью построен из монолитной породы.
